Machine Hire

Mining & civil machine hire, ready to mobilise

Graders, earthmoving and mining plant available dry or wet, with operators where you need them, across Western Australia.

Walton Mechanical road train floating a motor grader to a remote WA site

When a project needs plant on the ground fast, you need a hire partner who answers the phone and turns up. Walton Mechanical Group hires mining and civil machinery across WA, dry or wet, and because we run our own workshop and mechanics, the gear we put on your site is maintained to mine spec and supported if anything goes wrong.

What we hire

  • Motor graders, including CAT 16M, for haul roads, pads and civil works
  • Earthmoving and civil plant for construction and site preparation
  • Mining support equipment for production and maintenance
  • Service trucks and support vehicles, see service truck hire

Dry hire or wet hire

Take the machine on its own and run it with your own operators, or hire it wet with a Walton Mechanical operator who knows the gear. For remote and urgent work, wet hire takes the staffing problem off your plate, and we can combine it with our labour hire for full crews.

Backed by our own workshop

Hired plant is only as good as the support behind it. Every machine we hire is maintained through our workshop, and if something stops on site our heavy diesel mechanics are on call. That is the difference between a machine that holds up the job and one that keeps it moving.

Machine hire in Bunbury and across WA

Walton Mechanical is based in Bunbury and works throughout the South West, with plant mobilised through to the Goldfields, the Pilbara and the Kimberley. Being local means we turn up, know the ground, and keep the gear we hire you supported. Tell us the site, the task and the timeframe and we will come back with availability and a rate.

Plant hire from the Bunbury yard

For South West jobs, local matters. Our CAT 16M motor grader, fitted service trucks and civil and mining support plant hire out of our Bunbury yard, which means short mobilisation to sites around Bunbury, Busselton, Collie and the wider South West, and a workshop up the road if anything needs attention. Browse the fleet for what is in the yard, and if the machinery hire you need is not listed, ask, because we source and support plant beyond our own gear.

Machine hire for the Kimberley and Broome

If a machine has stopped or a job can't start because the right plant isn't on site, a remote Kimberley location makes that worse by the hour, not better. Walton Mechanical has already put graders and support plant into the Kimberley, including machine hire and mechanical support for a dam construction program near Broome, and we cover ground from Kununurra through to Newman. See the full job in our projects.

Because the same crew that hires you the machine also runs the workshop, a Kimberley or Pilbara mobilisation comes with a mechanic backing it, not just a truck and a set of keys. If something needs attention on site, our heavy diesel mechanics and service trucks can follow the machine up. Tell us the site, the task and the timeframe and we will confirm what we can get there and when.

Kimberley and Pilbara programs tend to run for months, not days. We can set a machine and a mechanic up on your site for the length of the job, not just a one-off mobilisation, so the gear keeps working and the program stays on schedule for the whole run.

Machine hire questions

What areas do you service?

We are based in Bunbury and hire across the South West, with mobilisation through to the Goldfields, Pilbara and Kimberley. Tell us the site and we will confirm availability.

Can you get a machine to a Kimberley or Pilbara site?

Yes. We have mobilised graders and support plant into the Kimberley before, including a dam construction program near Broome, and we cover Kununurra through to Newman. Tell us the site and the task and we will confirm what we can get there and when.

Do you hire with or without an operator?

We hire dry, and can arrange an operator or a full crew through our labour hire where available. Let us know what you need when you enquire.

Is the hired plant maintained?

Yes. Every machine is maintained through our own workshop and backed by our heavy diesel mechanics, so it is ready to work and supported if anything stops on site.

What plant hire is available from your Bunbury yard?

Our CAT 16M motor grader, fitted service trucks and civil and mining support plant hire out of Bunbury, reaching South West sites fast because the yard, the workshop and the mechanics are all local. Machinery hire for jobs further out mobilises from the same yard.

How do I get a rate?

Send your site, dates and the task through the contact form or call, and we will come back with availability and a rate.

Plant down or crew short? Let's move.

Tell us what you need and where. We will come back with availability and a quote.
